SCHEDULE A:   GENERAL SERVICE

REVISION DATE:   March 8, 2011

SUBJECT:   RATE SCHEDULE A – GENERAL SERVICE

AVAILABILITY:         Available for residential, seasonal and small commercial services, not exceeding 100 kVA of transformer capacity, subject to established rules and regulations.  The capacity of individual single-phase motors served under this schedule shall not exceed ten (10) horsepower.

TYPE OF SERVICE:           Single phase or three phase, 60-cycle, at available secondary voltages.

MONTHLY RATE:   

OPTION 1

Monthly Service Charge:    $40.00 per month                                                 
Demand Charge:                 $2.70 per kW
Kilowatt-hour Charge:         $.0384 per kWh

OPTION 2
           
Monthly Service Charge:    $40.00 per month
Kilowatt-hour Charge:         $0.08 per kWh
A minimum of 12-consecutive months required

DISCONNECTED & IDLE SERVICES:  Any member requesting a temporary disconnect will be charged a monthly service charge of $14.00 per month for a period of one (1) year. If the consumer chooses to re-connect in that time period, they shall pay the full monthly service charge of $40.00 for the months the service was idle plus a reconnect fee of $50.00. If the consumer does not choose to re-connect their service in the one (1) year time period, they may choose to leave their service idle and continue to pay a monthly service charge of $14.00 per month. All idle or disconnected services that choose not to pay the monthly service charge of $14.00 per month are subject to immediate removal. If the service were removed it would be the consumers responsibility for paying all costs to have a new service installed.

Demand Reset:
If any power outage, scheduled or unscheduled last longer than one hour, OCEC will reset the affected consumers meter demand reading to zero the next business day. OCEC will not bill the consumer for demand created by a power outage that lasts longer than an hour. Consumer will be billed only for a normal demand meter read during each month
.

Electrical and Harmonic Interference:
The consumer agrees to maintain an average total harmonic distortion (THD) level of the load current that is consistent with the IEEE 519 (1992) standard for distribution system customers.  If the Cooperative determines that the consumer load is contributing to excess THD on the distribution system, the consumer will install the necessary filtering or compensation to maintain the THD at or below the level required by the Cooperative.  Failure to install the necessary preventative equipment will result in disconnection of service.

STATE AND MUNICIPAL TAXES:  All state and municipal taxes, in areas where applicable, will be charged to affected members.

 

SCHEDULE B:   SECOND METER SERVICE

 
P0LICY NO. 30-105           

REVISION DATE: March 8, 2011

AVAILABILITY:  

Available for residential domestic well services, not exceeding usage of 500 kWh’s per month and 5 kW’s per month on a year round basis. A qualifying second service is for a single individual domestic well serving one primary residence.

TYPE OF SERVICE:          Single phase or three phase, 60-cycle, at available secondary voltages.

MONTHLY RATE: 

Monthly Service Charge:                $25.00 per month                                                 
Demand Charge:                             $2.70 per kW
Kilowatt-hour charge:                       $ .0384 per kWh

DISCONNECTED & IDLE SERVICES:  Any member requesting a temporary disconnect will be charged a monthly service charge of $14.00 per month for a period of one (1) year. SCHEDULE C:    IRRIGATION SERVICE

REVISION DATE:    March 8, 2011

AVAILABILITY:                   

Available for service to irrigation pumps, subject to the established policies of the Cooperative.

TYPE OF SERVICE:          Single-phase or three phase, as available, at standard secondary voltages.  Motors having a rated capacity in excess of 10 HP must be three-phase or be equipped with an approved phase converter.

RATE:                                       

Monthly Service charge:     $36.00 per month; Single Phase
                                           $47.00 per month; Three Phase
Demand Charge:                  $2.70 per kW
Kilowatt-hour charge:           $.036 per kWh

MINIMUM CHARGE: The annual minimum non-pumping charge on all irrigation services shall be five (5) months of the monthly service charge and monthly demand charge. If usage occurs outside of the normal irrigation season the customer will be billed the kWh’s used plus the monthly service charge for that billing period.

SEASON:   The minimum season is for five (5) full months between May & September. 

A finance charge of 1% per month, 12% per year, will be assessed on accounts past due, with a minimum charge of $ .50.

RATE SCHEDULE OL: – OUTDOOR LIGHTING SERVICE

AVAILABILITY:         Available to all consumers, for dusk to dawn outdoor lighting, in close proximity to existing overhead secondary circuits, subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

RATE PER LIGHT PER MONTH:

175-Watt Mercury Vapor;                            $8.00 per month

400-Watt Mercury Vapor;                            $14.00 per month

 

SCHEDULE L: LARGE COMMERCIAL SERVICE

SUBJECT:   RATE SCHEDULE L – LARGE COMMERCIAL SERVICE

AVAILABILITY:                               

Available for all uses with an average use of 20,000 kWh/month, subject to the established rules and regulations of the Cooperative.

TYPE OF SERVICE:           Single-phase and three phase, 60 cycle, at available secondary voltage.

MONTHLY RATE:           

Monthly Service Charge:    $155.00 per month
Demand Charge:                 $2.70 per kW
Kilowatt-hour Charge:         $.0384 per kWh

 ANNUAL MINIMUM CHARGE:  The annual minimum charge is the cost of 20,000 kWh per month multiplied by twelve (12).

STATE AND MUNICIPAL TAXES:  All state and municipal taxes, in areas where applicable will be charged to affected members.

DISCONNECTED & IDLE SERVICES:  any member requesting a temporary disconnect will be charged a monthly service charge of $14.00 per month for a period of one (1) year. If the consumer chooses to re-connect in that time period, they shall pay the full monthly service charge of $155.00 plus for the months the service was idle. If the consumer does not choose to re-connect their service in the one (1) year time period, they may choose to leave their service idle and continue to pay a monthly service charge of $14.00 per month. All idle or disconnected services that choose not to pay the monthly service of $14.00 per month are subject to immediate removal. If the service were removed it would be the consumers responsibility for paying all costs to have a new service installed.

LARGE SINGLE LOAD

 

POLICY:    30-155
DATE:       May 24, 2011             

PURPOSE:      

To set forth the practices and procedures that shall be followed by the Cooperative for customers with new loads of one (1) megawatt (MW) or more.

TYPE OF SERVICE:   Three phase, 60 cycle, served at a voltage available and approved by OCEC  

POLICY CONTENT:

Load associated with a new facility or expansion of an existing facility. This rate applies to customers that would have an additional electrical system demand of (1) megawatt (MW) or more in any calendar month of a year. The member will be required to negotiate a customized power sale contract between the member and OCEC prior to OCEC providing any electrical service to the member. The member must provide OCEC with a detailed and verifiable estimate of the member’s electrical power requirements prior to the development of a power sales contract.
The negotiated power sales contract shall identify special circumstances, terms, rates and other conditions as required to serve the customer.

RESPONSIBILITY:

The General Manager is responsible for implementation of the policy.
