Solar

4 Incentives Available to OCEC Members

  1.  WA State Cost Recovery Incentive available to June 30th 2020; varying incentive amounts per kwh depending on where the solar electric equipment is manufactured
  2.  WA Net Metering Law; every kilowatt generated offsets one that would be purchased from utility company, therefore it is valued at retail cost
  3.  WA Sales Tax Exemption on solar electric equipment and installation cost; 100% exemption through June 30th 2013 for systems under 10 kW; and 75% exemption for larger systems
  4.  Federal Tax Credit for 30% of expenditures to purchase and install solar electric or solar water heating; credit can be taken for each type of solar energy and can carry over to future tax years
