4 Incentives Available to OCEC Members
- WA State Cost Recovery Incentive available to June 30th 2020; varying incentive amounts per kwh depending on where the solar electric equipment is manufactured
- WA Net Metering Law; every kilowatt generated offsets one that would be purchased from utility company, therefore it is valued at retail cost
- WA Sales Tax Exemption on solar electric equipment and installation cost; 100% exemption through June 30th 2013 for systems under 10 kW; and 75% exemption for larger systems
- Federal Tax Credit for 30% of expenditures to purchase and install solar electric or solar water heating; credit can be taken for each type of solar energy and can carry over to future tax years
